if you turn the key with the gas pedal all the way to the floor, that is a full throttle start. it does bad things to an engine. on some gms, it shuts off the injectors to clear the cylinders in the event of a flooded engine.

pushing the gas pedal down to and cranking it to start it.i do this on my 73 f100, just because the carb isnt tunned right, but it still works everytime its bad because you can flood the engine, or rev the engine without it being warmed up to proper temp which can cause excessive wear on internal components
