The law is the same in ALL 50 STATES: you must be 18 to serve alcohol and 21 to consume alcohol.
There are ONLY FOUR types of ID legal to verify legal age:
1: State Driver’s License
2. State Identification Card
3. Passport
4. Military ID card
The legal NC drinking age is 21 years old. It’s one of only eight states that you have to be 21 and not 18 years old to drink.
