What is the percent rate of change in function y
What is the percent rate of change in the function ( y = (0.98)^x )? Additionally, please determine whether this function represents exponential growth or exponential decay.
I have three specific problems I need help with:
- What is the percent rate of change for the following scenarios: 2% growth, 20% growth, 2% decay, and 0.2% decay?
- How do I simplify the expression ( 5\log_b(y) + 4\log_b(x) ) and determine ( \log_b(y^5 + x^4) )?
- For the equation ( 3e^{2x} + 2 = 281.079 ), how do I solve for ( x )?
Thank you in advance for your assistance!

2% decay
all you do here is compute the function when x is equal to 1 (which gives 0.98), when x is equal to 2 (which gives 0.9604) and compute the percentage difference which is:
((0.98 - 0.9604) / 0.98) X 100
Or more generally:
((initial value - changed value) / initial value) X 100
logb(y^5+x^4)
You can't answer the third one without knowing the value of x.
