What is the “ Star Trek effect”?

The term “Star Trek effect” is often associated with the "Observer Effect," which is the eleventh episode of the fourth season of the American science fiction television series Star Trek: Enterprise, and the eighty-eighth episode overall. This episode first aired on January 21, 2005, on UPN. Written by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens and directed by Mike Vejar, it is set in the 22nd century and follows the adventures of the first Starfleet starship, Enterprise, registration NX-01. In this episode, alien entities test the crew of the Enterprise by observing their reactions to a lethal, silicon-based infection. Notably, actual first contact with these aliens—the Organians—would take place about a century later during the events of the original Star Trek episode "Errand of Mercy."

“Observer Effect” is the eleventh episode of the fourth season of the American science fiction television series Star Trek: Enterprise and the eighty-eighth overall. This episode sees alien entities test the Enterprise crew by observing their reactions to a deadly silicon-based infection. Actual first contact with these aliens – the Organians – would occur about a century later, during the events of the original series Star Trek episode “Errand of Mercy”.As it was a bottle episode, the episode did not use any additional sets or guest stars with the intention of cutting down on costs for the series. This also gave time for the visual effects team to finish earlier work. The episode received mixed reactions from critics, with praise directed at the links to the original Star Trek series, while criticism directed towards some of the characterization of the characters. “Observer Effect” was watched by 2.76 million viewers on first broadcast, which formed part of an overall drop of viewers for the series.Explanation:

The best statement about Star Trek Effect is that people will try to create “cool” technology they see in science fiction. The “Star Trek” effect is the cultural effect that television shows broadcast on societies in which shows have been aired frequently since the 1960s.EXPLANATION:The genuine show and its successor have led other shows, and not just science fiction in common. Being the first show to show interracial kiss was just one of its numerous victories. The team that is supposed to come from around the world (though the actors were not) was clearly the first. Words from the Star Trek lexicon have entered our dictionaries, and phrases like “beam me up” have made it into our culture.Although critics today usually make fun of the original Star Trek for set and campy acting, they usually fail to know that the show was innovative television at the time. Star Trek remained the first television series for adults which tells the complex moral stories although there was other successful science fiction in television shows, The Twilight Zone.  The special effects of the show were superior to others shown on TV, the stories were often composed by highly respected science fiction writers, and many of their production values, especially costumes, were very high, despite the moderately limited financial plan of weekly TV series.Criticizers who called the program cheaply disregard the fact that based on current standards, Star Trek was very progressive, and that effectively elevated the bar, which means that science fiction TV shows and films that followed must meet the quality standards and development to be taken seriously.LEARN MORE:  If you’re interested in learning more about this topic, we recommend you to also take a look at the following questions:•What is Star Trek Effect? Let’s start first by using process of elimination. Usually, when given multiple choice, we can eliminate two answers right away. In this case, I would eliminate A and D, because those answers make no sense and appear far-fetched. Now let’s move on to B and C. Obviously both of these answers have bearing, however, our job is to chose the best answer. According to Google, the Star Trek effect is the cultural influence Star Trek has on the nation, for example, promoting interracial kissing and a diverse cast. Therefore, my best guess would be C, because it is a cultural aspect. If my answer was correct, please let me know, and give me brainliest answer!
