What is the top speed of my yamaha yz80?

What is the top speed of my Yamaha YZ80? It is completely stock except for a full FMF Powercore exhaust. I weigh 150 lbs. Based on this information, how fast do you think it can go?

As Wiggysan said the top speed of a mx race bike is really not relevant due to the fact that they are designed for racing and when used for the purpose they were made for very seldom get tapped out. Also with an older bike like what you have they lose speed gradually due to wear and tear and no matter how well you maintain them over time an older bike will not be as fast as a new one and the yz80 put up against a new yz85 would be blown away. I would guess the other answers of around 45mph would be reasonable and an after market exhaust can make a difference to power output as if they didn’t everyone would just stick with standard exhausts. It does come down to if the yz80 is suited to the exhaust that is selected to go on it as you can put several different types and find that one works much better, but if the bike was not dialled into the pipe then they can have the reverse effect . Top riders try pipes and then have the bike put on a dyno to see just which one makes the best difference to their particular bike and they work hard to get the best by adjusting settings.

The exhaust will make it accelerate faster with no real increase in top speed. Top speed will be whatever its top speed is; and that will depend on the gearing to some extent. But hey, it doesn’t matter what the top speed is, the bike is not a drag bike.

HI THERE THE YAMAHA YZ 85 WILL DO A TOP SPEED OF ABOUT 55 MPH THE EXHAUST WOULD HELP IN A BETTER ACCELERATION AND ABOUT 2HP MORE!!!

Top speed is NOT important. You will hardly ever go top speed.

depending on the gearing of the bike, it will do @ 40 – 45 mph.
