what time does church normally end on sundays?

I haven't attended church in a while and would like to know what time services normally end on Sundays. Also, does the church have Sunday School or early Mass? If so, what time do those activities conclude? I believe regular services start at 10 AM, but I'm unsure when they end—does it typically wrap up around 12 PM or 12:30 PM? Thank you!

The time of the service may very depending on what the service is about, what church you attend, and what type of church. The church I attend has two Sunday morning services, both are the same sermon. The first service starts at 9:00AM and usually ends around 10:15AM. The second service starts at 10:30AM and usually ends around 12:15PM. There are times where the services will run over on time.

To know about a certain church in your area you could search and see if they have a website, look and see if they have an add tell you their time listed in the phone book or call the church.

It's just like a normal church service. Nothing really special about it. At my grandparents' church, this is how the schedual works. 1- Young Women. This is a class where all of the teenage girls (ages 12 to 18) meet. You'll recite the Young Women motto and creed, and then go on with the lesson for the day. 2- Sunday School. This is similar to Young Women except the classes are broken down by age. For this, the Young Women and Young Men come together, and you'll be with kids closer to your own age. 3- Sacrament. This is when all of the church members meet in the chapel. The bishop (or president depending on the size of the church) will give a small sermon, followed by a few guest speakers and hymns. Typically, the Aaronic Preisthood (usually the Young Men of the church) will pass around bread and water (the sacrament). However, if you happen to attend church with her on Fast Sunday, the bread and water will be left out. Note: Most churches do this in the reverse order. I'm simply stating how my grandparents' church runs things. The people are generally very friendly and polite, although they do sometimes have a tendency to push their religion on you just a bit too much. No scary rituals, and they aren't a cult like some people insist. Just a normal church really.

Dear Lindsay,

It all depends on the church. Most churches do have Sunday School programs (for all or most ages) on Sundays.

Typically services last anywhere from: One hour to One and a half hour.

Perhaps you can visit some of the churches you are considering (especially if they have a mid-week Bible Study) and you can get a bulletin (or if they have a website) get all the information you need from that.

Glad to hear that you are thinking of going back... i just read a passage the other day about how we grow when we are planted in the house of God.

Blessings to you.

a lot of churches I know of have more than one service a day and different times... like a service earlier in the morning and one closer to the afternoon, the church my parents attend goes from 11am-1pm. When I went to church, I went on Sunday nights.

Check with your local parish. They all have different times for mass. The one I attend has a 6 p.m. Mass on Sundays... I know others have a 5 or 5:30 p.m. mass.

Depends on the church dude; lots of churches have more than one morning session and then an evening session and most have another one on either Wed. or Thurs nights. You can worship God 24/7, He never closes down!

Depending on which church you go to. Mine starts at 10 AM and ends around 1 PM. then, you go back to church around 6 PM and it gets over around 7:45 PM.
