A declaration of the boundary of the 13 coastal colonies

The proclamation of 1763 was sent out by the king of England (George the 3rd) on October 7th 1763. It said that colonists couldn’t move anywhere more west than the Applachian mountains. This made the colonists mad because some had already bought land here. All colonist who owned land there were told to leave immideately. The main reason this rule was issued was because it was costing too much money for the british to keep the revolting indians away from the settlers.

An attempt to stop westward expansion

The colonists had only helped combat and win the French and Indian conflict which resulted in 1763 and won England all the land in the Ohio Valley. The colonists believed for the reason that that they had helped with the conflict it became into their birthright to bypass into and detect the land so they might improve and locate extra materials. however the King on the time George III found out that if the colonists moved farther inland that he would not have the potential to maintain an eye fixed on them and that ought to bring about much less administration blah blah blah. So he drew the Proclamation Line. …I only comprehensive all those issues in my AP U.S. history type so do no longer worry it extremely is optimal =]
