whats it mean if someone asks how are you fairing?
I’m unsure what it means when someone asks, "How are you fairing?" Can anyone help clarify this expression? Thank you!

it means how are you holding up in life, how are you handling life ? – just a different expression of putting it.

I’m not a native English speaker so I looked for it. It’s spelled “faring”, not “faring”, as it comes from the verb “to fare” (not “to fair”).
To fare = to get along = to get on.
