what’s the X intercept of y = 7x – 3?
Could someone help me find the x-intercept of the equation y = 7x - 3? I already know that the y-intercept is -3, but I’m having trouble figuring out the value of x. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
To get the x-intercept, you need to remember that y = 0 when this occurs. Therefore, we get:
0 = 7x – 3
Now, isolate for ‘x’ alone to get:
x = 3 / 7 <==== FINAL ANSWER
I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
The x-intercept is where y=0. (x, 0)
So set y equal to 0.
0=7x-3
3=7x
3/7=x
The x-intercept is 3/7.
For finding x intercepts , y = 0 ==> 7x + y + 3= y 7x + 3 = 0 x = -3/7 x intercepts : (-3/7 , 0) For finding y intercepts , x = 0 ==> 7x + y + 3 = y 0 + y + 3 = y It’s not available. It means this equation never intercept y-axis.
