When you buy a greyhound bus ticket online?

When you buy online, you will see two options: will call (station pickup), and print at home. PostMailing is never an option. You can’t change your mind after the transaction is complete, but I am pretty certain that both will call and print at home do cost the same, a mere 0.99 fee (as of 2012 and subject to change). so you pick whichever one applies best to your needs and you stick with it. Will call, depending on location, is fine if there isn’t too bad of a line, and many major stations have kiosks now that work fairly better than when they were first implemented and often had breakdowns. However, the e-mail confirmation itself, if you choose that method, is NOT a ticket. You need to actually view/download an attachment to get the whole barcode printed. You can’t go to the station and ask them to reprint out your print at home ticket if you lose or forget your printouts from home. They will force you to buy another ticket. Also, if your trip involves a transfer to another bus and requires multiple tickets, make sure you print all of the pages and don’t use front/back printing. Same goes for round trips. Although they may someday go mobile access to catch up with better technological carriers out there like megabus and most airlines, greyhound currently does not accept mobile phone screenshots as tickets, they are still invested in the paper ticket age. One final note to remember is that with Greyhound you should try to avoid the fee imposed on people who buy tickets on a credit card for a traveler that does not match the name on the credit card. This fee is exorbitant and must be avoided. And you can also save money on greyhound by booking more than 7 days before departure, or more than 14 days before departure. However, the advance purchase is nonrefundable, and a $15 fee is charged to change any such discounted early booking itinerary once it has been reserved, in addition to any fare differences....
