Hey guys, Um..I’m president of my school, and I need to give a speech at graduation, before the awards are handed out. I need major ideas for what to write about! In the past years, they had speech teachers come and help the kids who were writing them, but this year I’m on my own. USE A HEADS UP THEME…Tell them “just a heads up”, for all of us, our education has just started, so I hope everyone paid attention to the teachers..(you could use specific teachers) this would be in a joking manner, keep it light,you are eighth graders with serious high school questions in mind…just keep it light. Explain that today is not the day to turn in “lost homework assignments” for extra credit…lol just anything to lighten the moods and make the ceremony enjoyable. Explain that there is no pool on the roof of the new high school that they will be attending, no matter what the seniors tell them…;-)Congratulations at the end for coming this far and wishing them the best possible future adventures is a serious way to close it out.
