The correct answer is d. all of the above. The cycling of essential elements of living organism throughout the ecosystem is referred to as biogeochemical cycles. For example, carbon cycle, water cycle, phosphorus cycle, nitrogen cycle, etc. All these cycles are essential for the survival of the living organisms. They play important role in life processes (such as metabolism, action potential etc) as well as form the basis of structure. For example carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, phosphorus, water are the basic elements used in the formation of DNA, RNA, amino acids etc.

I would say D. all of the above. Water is needed for by everything, Plants need carbon dioxide to make make their food in process called photosynthesis, (plants then excrete oxygen which mammals need) and I believe phosphorus are used by plants for growth and survival.

The correct answer is all of the above. The three choices are all basic components of life that all organisms on earth need to thrive and survive. Water is probably the most important because it is the basic component of life here on Earth.
