c. acidic groundwaterA marsh is a wetland that is dominated by herbaceous plants. Marshes are transition zones between aquatic and terrestrial ecosystem. They are occupied with grasses, reeds and rushes. These are situated in a low land or depression. The water in the marshes is typically shallow. Freshwater, and saline water can be found in the marshes. These are regions where frequent flood can occur due to nearby water body.The acidic groundwater is not the characteristic of the marshes....
