Why are plant cells square; when animal cells are round

Why are plant cells typically square in shape, while animal cells tend to be round? I would like to understand the underlying reasons for these differences in cell structure and how they relate to the functions of each type of cell.

Plant cells have a cell wall that is very rigid, which forces the cell to shape that way. Animal cells are round because they don’t have a cell wall only a plasma membrane

Actually, that is how text books diagram them. Human cells can also be round AND square/rectangular shaped.

Because plant cells have a cell wall and animals don't, the cell wall makes them look like they're square but they're really rectangular

Plant cells are not necessarily square, but they do tend to have distinct edges and be somewhat rectangular. This structure is caused by the cell wall which is very rigid and therefore forces the cell to have a defined shape.
