What causes socks to become stiff or hard after wearing them?

the sweat from your feet dries up leaving only salt, which makes a layer of crust.

This doesn't happen to everyone only people who have profusely sweaty and stinky feet. The salt that comes out of someone's feet when they sweat a lot hardens when the sweat dries making your socks crusty. Gross dude!
