Why is lyle and scott clothing so stupidly expensive?

I saw a lyle and scott cardigan ( i know.. gay or what?) for £140… it was just a plain black one, with that stupid little gold bird on it, and nothing else… Why is ti so expensive when it is just a plain one made in sweatshops like every other piece of clothing?
