If you have a chemical burn of the eye it will usually be treated by flooding the open eye with water. You may be given anaesthetic eye drops and a medicine to keep your pupil dilated so that you are able to keep your eye open and it is easier to wash the chemical away. An antiseptic ointment will usually be applied to your eye to help prevent infection. Severe chemical burns will need to be treated by an ophthalmologist to try and preserve your vision.

rinse it out with water. and i know this might be a stupid question, but why are you sitting around on the computer waiting for answers while you have windex in your eyes? you could be reading what is on the back of the bottle. it normally says what you should do if contacted in the eyes. and don't say that you couldn't read it b/c you had windex in your eyes, because if you can read what people are writing to tell you what to do, then you can read the label on the back of a bottle. sorry if this sounded angry, but i get tired of people asking questions like this.

First you need to rinse well for 15 minutes with plain water. Then you should contact a doctor or the poison control center. Instructions will be on the bottle.

She'll be fine. It will hurt for a bit then everything will be ok. Next time think before playing around with chemical cleaning products.
