Anime in Ireland, or Irish anime characters?
I have noticed a significant presence of French characters and locations in various anime series. This observation made me curious: has there ever been an anime set in Ireland, or featuring an Irish character? If so, could you provide some examples or details about them?

well, french has a lot of history and is a rich/vibrant setting for anime. sadly, ireland normally gets clumped with england so i don’t think there’s much, if any, out there that has an irish influence.
there’s only one that i know for sure is an irish character:
Lancer from Fate/Stay Night
he’s based on an irish mythical hero (if you really want to know, you can spoil it by googling. although one of the interesting parts of the anime is to figure out each mythic hero.)

Tears to Tiara draws from celtic mythology. but, that’s not exactly irish.

there are lots out there that are set in england. but i can’t think of any other anime that would be considered irish. sorry i couldn’t help more. ^^
