Anyone know how to become a tranny?
I'm looking for guidance on how to support my friend, who has expressed a desire to transition. He is interested in hormone therapy and other medical aspects of transitioning, but I have limited knowledge in this area. While I can assist with aspects like dressing, wigs, and makeup, I want to ensure that I don't inadvertently jeopardize his health by providing incorrect information. If anyone has recommendations for doctors in Houston who specialize in transgender healthcare or can provide information on the types of hormones involved, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!

Let's correct some terminology.
Please do not use the term "tranny" unless you are referring to a component of an automobile drive train. Transsexual people find the term offensive. Try using transwoman instead.
One does not become transsexual, one is born that way.
The transition process is a long multi-step process, usually taking many years to accomplish. The process is defined here in the Standards of Care:

An excellent site for information on all aspects of the transition process is:

If your friend is serious about transitioning, the following site should be mandatory reading. It lays out what is ahead in very blunt language.

I wish her luck. It is not an easy path through life, just one that some of us must take.

Maybe he should go talk to the people at General Motors. Oh wait you mean a transsexual person. You don't become a transsexual person you are born with a birth condition known as transsexualism. SHE not HE needs to see a gender therapist who will first determine if she is actually a transsexual woman. Then once that is done she will be referred to an Endocrinologist who will prescribe the proper hormones and dosages. Surgery is the last step in transition which is a long hard and expensive process.

You should probably know that "tranny" is considered a pretty offensive term. Also, assuming you mean transsexual (as you mentioned hormones) then she is already transsexual. What she wants to BECOME is a woman/transwoman/t-girl.
She should go talk to his doctor about it and then she can get referrals to specialists.
There's loads of advice and information on the net, so some time spent researching would be well spent. My MtF girlfriend's favourite site is www.tsroadmap.com
