Are the Motorola BT50 and BT51 batteries interchangeable?

I have a Motorola W385 that came with a BT50 battery. My battery isn’t keeping a charge very well anymore and I need to buy a new one, and with the extra 100 mAH on the BT51, I’m pretty sure that’ll extend my battery life a little bit between charges. But I don’t want to shell out the money for a new battery and find out that it doesn’t fit, or that the connectors are on the wrong side, or something like that.

The BT50 and BT51 are interchangeable. You are right, the BT51 is a bit stronger and will give you approximately 20 minutes more talk time between charges than the BT50 (not a huge difference). I have one and I notice that it always has to be charged every night. And I’ve had mine for two and a half years. One thing that I notice is that the battery lasts alot longer if I don’t spend so much time surfing the net and playing video games. But I think that’s just normal for the batteries to die that fast.
