Can you put construction paper in a printer?

Can you use construction paper in a printer, provided it is cut to the size of regular paper? I need assistance with this for my homework.

Depending on which kind of printer you have, inkjet or laser, I would think so. I believe it would work better in a laser printer, because laser printers often have features to allow you to print on paper without bending the paper through the paperpath. So long story short, I think it would work in either type of printer, though I would try to do it with a laser printer. I think, probably yes, though. Hope this helps!

If your printer allows the path of the paper to be straight, most of them can accommodate very thick paper. For example, most HP laserjet printers allows users to open the back part of the printer to put papers on tray. Then path of the paper becomes pretty much straight. That is, paper goes through printer without much bending.

Otherwise, the motor on the printer isn't strong enough to pull the paper though. It will jam and potentially burn up the motor or break the mechanism by excessive stress.

Can you? yes. Should you? no, UNLESS the construction paper says it is made for that. If it is an inkjet printer, it's going to soak up a good bit of ink and the small fibers on the paper may cause problems. If it is a laserjet, the small fibers may cause problems with the fuser as it rolls over it.

Our Canon All-In-One doesn't allow the 9" width, but if I cut off a 1/2" it goes through just fine. I've only used it to print a little text, though--I haven't tried images.

no the ink would run and you may damage your printer don't use any thing thicker than card stock.

Yes. You have to put more than one sheet in at a time though.
