Change 432 base 5 to base 10?
I am trying to convert the number 432 from base 5 to base 10. I believe the correct answer should be 117, but I am unsure how my professor arrived at that conclusion. Could someone please explain the conversion process? Thank you!

Okay if 432 is base five then the last digit is 1s, as normal, the next to last is 5s (instead of 10s) and the third from last is 25s (5*5=25) instead of 100s.
So… 4 * 25 = 100
Plus 3 * 5 = 15
Plus 2 * 1 = 2
Equals 117.
