(8x-4)(8x+4)
64x^2+32x-32x-16 (Multiply all the terms out)
64x^2-16 (The +32x and -32x cancel each other out.)
this is a bad textbook since the question is not completely factored to begin with. correct factored form is : 16(2x – 1 )(2x + 1 )
the correct product of this is: 64x^2 – 16
