Had some good laughs tonight at about 4 jokes but this tops them all. Love the build up that precedes the punch line as it keeps us wondering how this could possibly end and be so hilarious! Keep ’em coming!

Placentas are a unique feature of a group called the ‘eutheria’ or ‘placentals’. This includes all mammals EXCEPT for the monotremes (platypus and echidnas) which lay eggs instead, and the marsupials (including kangaroos).

In short:

Frogs are amphibians, not even mammals at all. They lay eggs so have no placenta.

Kangaroos are marsupials. Their embryos develop in a kind of yolk sac while in the uterus, and are birthed very early before developing in the mother’s pouch. So they have no placenta.

Rabbits are eutherians. They do have a placenta.

Er, Thundercat, *Placental* Mammals have a placenta. This means frogs (amphibians) and Kangaroos (Marsupials) do not. That leaves your answer, of those, only rabbits have a placenta.
