Do Popsicles ever expire?

Do popsicles ever expire? If so, how long do they typically last before they go bad?

they expire when you see cold frost (mold) starting to form. They look like little little icicles, but they are mold, so don't eat it. Same goes to ice cream

And sugar/sweet do have expiration dates. Once you mix water in sugar in regular room temperature, without doing anything afterwards, it spoils.

Actually, Slipknot, its more likely they'll evaoporate before the "expire," if by that you mean, "go bad."

No kidding. Your freezer is a very dry place, and it'll suck the juice right out of those puppies, given enough time. Which is why ice cubes get smaller and smaller if left in too long.

And so, when you have a hankerin' for a grape popsicle one hot summer afternoon, and you open the freezer to find just a couple of stained little sticks in there -don't blame your kids!

They get frost burn like anything else left in a freezer. They will taste. let's say not as fresh. It would take about a year for them to have this condition. It will not harm you, though, if eaten. They can also expire quickly if you have lots of little ones visiting and it's a warm day out!

Just ate some Fla-Vor-Ice at work that are around 3 years old. They taste alright, but have a sharper texture due to the ice crystalizing. Feel fine, I doubt these things ever expire.

I would say not for a very long time. I mean, in reality, they are just frozen ice cubes with a flavor. Ice can stay in the freezer for just about ever. At any rate, even if they do expire, they wouldn't hurt you if you ate one. It may not taste as good as a fresh one, but it would still be edible.

Throw them out, when the ice and frost buildup on them is thicker than the Popsicle or when the stick becomes petrified.

I don't think they would expire, but it depends on their packaging. If they start to get ice crystals forming on them they may have freezer burn. So they aren't expired, but they will just taste sort of nasty.

Depends on how hot it is outside................lol

as long as its sugar and water it wont expire for a long time but chances are it will be stuck to the bottom of your freezer in a couple of months
