Does 1cc = 1 ml?

I was instructed to use a syringe for medication to measure 30 cc’s. I have a syringe that measures by mL and read somewhere that 1cc= 1mL. Is this true?

Extremely close (close enough) – “The Twelfth General (International) Conference on Weights and Measures redefined the litre as a “special name for the cubic decimetre,” but agreed to permit continuance of the terms litre, millilitre, and mL, except in association with measurements of the highest precision. For volumetric glassware the difference between the old and new meanings of litre is negligible. Although I have read all over that it is the same I have also read there are 30 cc’s to one ml. I tend to believe this because I came across your question by searching my self because my dog just got medicine and her pain medicine is already measured into 1 cc which is just the tip practically of her syringe and her other medicine call for 2 cc’s which the syringe has ml, the ml syringe is huge compared to the cc syringe so I am pretty confident people are always saying there the same but they are not I am getting ready to call a pharmacy or doc here soon you may wish to do the same.... Yes it is “cc = cubic centimeter. This is also a VOLUME measurement. Most syringes measure their capacity in cc’s. If you have a 5cc syringe, it will hold ~5ml of liquid in it.”... Show More
