Does mangafox have viruses?

I believe I may have contracted a virus from mangafox.com. Can anyone else relate to this experience? If this turns out to be true, I might need to switch to reading from http://www.9panels.com/ or onemanga.com. This situation is really frustrating!

Yes, I stopped supporting MangaFox because of that. The ads, the viruses…It is not worth it, even if the selection is amazing. I value the security of my computer…and besides, like you pointed out, there are tons of other free manga-reading sites out there. 
Maybe this will help people to become aware of the danger that may befall them on MangaFox.

Yes, the ads carry viruses.

I stopped going to mangafox until my husband put a script blocker on my computer which stops any ads from showing on any site and with my anti-virus it’s a double protection.  If you have both on your computer then mangafox will be safe.  The site itself does not have viruses, only the ads.

I am so happy I’m able to go on my favorite manga site again.  Trust me if you have a anti-virus and script blocker it’s safe. ð

I’ve never got a virus from mangafox, I actually got one from onemanga once

I haven’t gotten one myself, but I stopped using it after hearing from many other people that said they got a virus from their ads.
