Yes, I stopped supporting MangaFox because of that. The ads, the viruses…It is not worth it, even if the selection is amazing. I value the security of my computer…and besides, like you pointed out, there are tons of other free manga-reading sites out there. Maybe this will help people to become aware of the danger that may befall them on MangaFox.

Yes, the ads carry viruses.I stopped going to mangafox until my husband put a script blocker on my computer which stops any ads from showing on any site and with my anti-virus it’s a double protection. If you have both on your computer then mangafox will be safe. The site itself does not have viruses, only the ads.I am so happy I’m able to go on my favorite manga site again. Trust me if you have a anti-virus and script blocker it’s safe. ð

I haven’t gotten one myself, but I stopped using it after hearing from many other people that said they got a virus from their ads.
