Eminem vs.Big L,who wins?

Big L was known for his punchlines and is often credited with bringing punchlines to rap. He had an incredible flow, clearly one of the best in the genre, and showcased great lyricism. He was nearly unbeatable in freestyle battles. Unfortunately, he only released two albums. While Big L's themes often revolved around women, self-promotion, and flashy cars with extra features, his work lacked conceptual depth.

On the other hand, Eminem had a remarkable start with his album "Infinite," which featured impressive multisyllabic rhymes, although he faced accusations of biting from AZ and later Cage. His first two studio albums, "The Slim Shady LP" and "The Marshall Mathers LP," revealed two distinct sides of his personality. "The Eminem Show" showcased a more sincere and, at times, political perspective. However, "Encore" marked a definite low point in his career, followed by "Relapse," while "Recovery" took on a more mainstream, pop-oriented sound.

Considering both of their strengths and weaknesses, who do you think is the better artist?

Both vicious and personal with their insults. Ok this is hard to explain so bear with me. Eminem would win to those that only see things on the surface (the general population), but 2pac would win on a more personal and subliminal level (people from the streets that know who's doing what in the underworld would say he won). The stuff he said on Against All Odds really was "the realest **** he ever wrote", but 99.9% of rap fans don't know what he's talking about so they miss the 30 or 40 subliminal attacks he laced that track with. That track alone destroys anything Eminem ever did because of how deep of a diss it is on a real street level and how personal it is. Because there's very few rappers out there that will make a diss track with subliminals intended for the people he's attacking, not intended for the fans listening. Basically saying "I don't care what these fans think and I'm not going to come right out and tell them what this diss means, but you and I know what's going on and you know what it means and the few people who did their homework know". Nobody's ever done a diss track like that, that's a lot more personal than most diss tracks. That's real and not just for entertainment purposes. But in the eyes of most rap fans that don't know about the real history with those people he dissed, Eminem would clown on him and make it funny and he would be declared the victor by the most people. My point is that Eminem's would be most impressive from a lyrical standpoint, but Pac's would be most potent in doing what a diss track is really aimed at doing, scaring the person you're attacking into thinking you're going to expose something you don't want anybody to know about.

Big L had better flow, lyricism, and He Rhymed at least two words in each bar of his career(which is hard to do.) In a battle Big L takes out eminem. Eminem couldn't even handle canibus when they battle. Big L was an undefeated battle Rapper. Now i agree that eminem was more versatile and creative and i give him outstanding credit for Rap God but Big l would just take it

All people need to do is listen to ebonics from L and they'll know that L wins this one.. Not saying Em doesn't have talent he has good metaphors and he he is probably more dimensional than Big L because of his songs about politics, his serious side and his joking side... Overall, no one knows what L could have been capable of had he not have been killed he could have been the greatest. Its a tough call but I still gotta say Big L

Em would be scared to go up against Pac and I can gurantee you that but do you actually think Pac would just like him right off the back? In all honesty if things were going they way they were for 2Pac and Deathrow till the day Em signed with Dre on Aftermath then Pac and Suge would of attacked Em first. When Dre left The Row , some members of Death Row made a diss towards Dre Snoop N.W.A. and Eminem and I forgot what the diss was called but on the track it sounded like somebody mocked their voice as 2pac and dissed Eminem but even if Pac was alive he would of beefed with Em because him and Dre were already drifting away from each other and sh*t would of been said on Dre signing Eminem. As for Em winning that sort of beef doubt it, Em's life would be at risk f*cking with Pac because first of all Pac controlled alot of the youth at that time and the thugs and sh*t were feeling him, it's like he was their god even know he wasn't anything to me not even on my top 10 nor 15 favorite rappers but he claimed his respect and 2nd alls Pac has to say one racial slur against Em in a track and Em's career would sink not to mention Dre because of the credability of signing him.

Did you just say Big L Brought punchlines to rap? No..No he didn't.

I would choose Eminem '99-03 over Big L..But I would pick Big L over Eminem now for sure.

shut up kyle. rap is dead. so are all of us in 2012. rap lives on, only in hearts of the fallen rappers; the rappers that you mentioned is not on my list of "good rappers".

why don't you try "50 cent" (the guy is pure awesome).

the rappers now of days only has about maybe 3 or four good songs. the rest: ???!!!!.
