An opaque object is an object through which the light rays can not be passed and we can not see from that object while transparent object allows the passage of light. Hence red apple is unable to pass light, so it is a opaque object. ... Hence red apple looks red because it absorbs all color except red.

An apple is opaque because you can't see through it. It appears red because that is the natural colour

Red apple is opaque. It appear red because it reflects red light.Explanation: An opaque object is an object through which the light rays can not be passed and we can not see from that object while transparent object allows the passage of light.Hence red apple is unable to pass light, so it is a opaque object.Light is the combination of seven color rays. Different object absorbs different rays and reflect back other rays. The color of ray they reflect back is the color that we see.Hence red apple looks red because it absorbs all color except red.
A red apple is opaque because you can’t see anything on the other side of the apple. The apple is red because the frequency of light shinning on it makes it seem that it is red, as it is reflected. It seems it is red because it reflects infrared waves.
