Failed to access Catalyst Install Manager engine?

This problem has been bothering me for weeks. Everytime I try to download a new driver for my ATI graphics card I keep getting the same error message "Failed to access Catalyst Install Manager engine". I've tried everything, reinstalling catalyst install manager and uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2005. I'm desperate for help.

Chances are you haven't properly removed a previous version of CCC/driver When youextracte CCC/driver package it will create a folder like the following (assuming you have win7/vista 64 bit or the folder name will be slightly different):Code:C:ATISupport10-11_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_enuLook for a file in that directory called "setup.exe" and launch it.
