Glycerin in recipe- is it edible?

I am making rolled fondont. The version I AM using calls for two TB. glycerin-I got some at the pharmacy and it says- “FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY”Is all glycerin like that? Did I get the wronge kind?- the brand is swan and it is just your average bottle of glycerin…it also says “in case of accidental ingestion consult doctor or poison control center immediatley…yeah what a great thing to eat! But really is it okay to use 2 TB of the stuff?

DO NOT USE THAT GLYCERIN………. go to the grocery store and in the cake,jello isle there should be glycerin there….. use THAT glycerin.... Show More

DO NOT USE THAT Go to the grocery store or to a craft store (like Michael’s). They have glycerin that can be used for cooking. Glycerin is commonly used in things like fondant.... Show More
