What type of oil does the Husky 6250 portable 5000-watt generator take?
Hello, I have a question: What type of oil does the Husky 6250 portable 5000-watt generator require? Could you please provide me with an answer?

Husky is made by Homelite. Homelite does not list information for Husky brand generators. However, for a Homelite brand portable 5,000-watt generator, Homelite recommends SAE 10W-30 4-stroke oil.
Do not attempt to use 2-stroke engine oil, as it may cause permanent damage to the generator. The engine oil should be changed after the first 20 hours of use and then every 100 hours of use thereafter.
Checking/Adding Lubricant:
Unscrew the oil cap/dipstick and remove it.
Wipe the dipstick clean and re-seat it in the hole; do not rethread.
Remove the dipstick again and check the lubricant level. The lubricant level should fall between the hatched areas on the dipstick.
If the level is low, add engine lubricant until the fluid level rises to the upper portion of the dipstick.
Replace and secure the oil cap/dipstick.
