How do I say I want a haircut “degrafilado” in English?

I have long hair and I want to trim the ends and get it "degrafilado" but I don’t know how to say that word in english because when I first got my hair cut like that was in Mexico. Does anybody know what the translation is or what I can tell the person at the hair salon?

I don’t really know what ‘degrafilado’ actually is… but i googled images of this hairstyle. Is it like where the hair is different lengths, shorter on the top layer, longer underneath?? If so, this would be called "Layering", or having ‘layered’ hair. Sorry if I haven’t helped at all! 🙂... Show More
