How do you say emerald in other languages?
I am interested in learning how to say "emerald" in various languages. I'm particularly looking for translations that not only convey the word but also sound beautiful. Please share as many translations as possible, along with any cultural significance or interesting facts associated with them. Thank you!

How unfair it sounds so much better in every other language than German.. I prefer the French, English and Spanish way of the name in German it’s” Smaragd.”.. I told you.. not as nice as Emerald or Esmeralda… Esmeralda sounds nice and reminds me of the film ”The hunchback of Notre Dame” in Dutch it’s also ”Smaragd” same as in German xx
