How do you say “grandpa” in polish?
How do you say "grandpa" in Polish? I used to call my Polish grandpa "Jaw-Jew," which is how I believed it was pronounced. Is that pronunciation accurate, and how is the word spelled in Polish?

We used to call my Polish grandpa Jaw-Jew (spelled how we pronounced it). Is that the correct pronunciation and how is the word spelled?
Grandpa is Dziadzio (pronounced Ja-Jo?) Grandfather is Dziadek (pronounced Ja-Deck) and a “child way” to say Grandpa is what I used to call mine, Dziadzius (pronounced Ja-Jresh)
hope this helps!
