how do you solve 2x-3y=7?
I need assistance with solving the equation 2x - 3y = 7. I'm unsure of the steps involved. Could someone please help me as soon as possible? Thank you!

Isolate the y and you get y=2/3x – 7/3
First: you subtract 2x to both sides and get -3y= -2x + 7.
Then, divide both sides by -3 to isolate the y and you get y= 2/3x – 7/3.
I would solve this by changing the equation into the y = ax + c format which is the equation of a line.
2x – 3y = 7
move x to the other side of = sign:
2x – 3y = 7
-2x -2x
now you have -3y = -2x + 7
divide by -3 and you end up with y = (2/3)x + (7/3). This is now in the quation of a line format.
this equation has infinite number of solutions. Two solve for finite values we need as many equations as the number of variables. So if the other equation is deliberately missing, then you can generate a sample of values like this
2x = 7 – 3y
x = 1/2 (7-3y)
put y = 0, 1, 2, … , -1, -2, -3, … to get corresponding x-values.
