how does a person come down from being high off marijuana?
How does a person come down from being high on marijuana? I’m curious about the process and any tips for managing the experience.

First of all: RELAX, you’re fine. You’re on the safest drug known to mankind. Hundreds of millions of people do this, millions of them daily and not one person’s been physically irreperably harmed from it. You’re fine
Try to sleep, watch a movie, drink some water and get in a comfortable place and just relax.

There are a few things that might be going on. If your friends smoke a lot, more than you, they probably have a physical tolerance that makes them have to smoke a lot more to get high. If they’ve been smoking for a long time and are used to being in situations where they can’t appear high even though they are (around parents etc.) they may have just learned how to look sober. Certain enzymes in the liver break down THC, and some other drugs may prevent them from doing so, causing you be higher longer. These include Tagamet (cimetidine) and SSRI antidepressants. If you search for Tagamet and weed, you’ll find that some have used the heartburn medicine to potentiate weed. Piracetam, a nootropic drug, also potentiates the **** out of weed. It also happens that different people have different natural levels of these enzymes, so if you had a relatively low level of “CYP2C9”, you would be higher than someone all other things being equal. In the majority of cases, these differences are not that great. If you’re taking an SSRI that might be one reason. But most likely you’re just not as used to it, physically and mentally. I remember thinking the same thing a while back, and being flabbergasted when people would get up and go to the gym or load another bowl 30 minutes afterward.

When i was in amsterdam a friend i was with recieved a bad high from smoking marijuana, and she got the regular symptoms…paranoia, hard time breathing…scared…pale in the face…cold to the touch…so the “Cafe” owner gave her a mix of 2 oranges and 1 lemon and some sugar…apparently the high jolt of Natural accidic Vitaman C and 10 minutes time can bring your high to a normal level…
Try sleeping it off. It sometimes works, or just sit and wait, it takes like a couple hours depending on the type of mary jane used but you’ll eventually come down ?
After a period of time, you simply stop being high. There’s no crash or anything.

Depends on how much you smoked, your tolerance, etc.
Just stay calm and let it happen. Don’t let yourself get anxious/paranoid.
The person just has to give it time to wear off. The process can’t be sped up.
