How does the king of brobdingnag react when gulliver offers to give him the secret of gunpowder?

The King of Brobdingnag is repulsed by the concept of gunpowder, leading him to forbid Gulliver from ever mentioning it again.

The king of Brobdingnag in Gulliver's Travels is "struck with Horror" and disgusted by Gulliver's proposals (regarding gunpowder as it is used in England). He tells Gulliver that if he values his life, he should never mention gunpowder again!

The King of Brobdingnag is disgusted by the existence of gunpowder so that  Gulliver is forbidden by him to ever mention it again.Brobdingnag is a fictional land in Jonathan Swift's 1726 satirical novel Gulliver's Travels inhabited by giants.  Gulliver's Travels  is a prose satire wirtten by Irish writer and clergyman Jonathan Swift, that constitutes a satire on human nature as well as the "travellers' tales" literary subgenre.

The king is horrified and tells Gulliver to keep the secret to himself. Explanation:Gulliver seems to be unhappy with the fact that the King of Brobdingnag does not seem to be excited about England. Therefore, Gulliver tries to tell him more about the accomplishments of his country. The first one is gunpowder. Gulliver describes the effects that gunpowder has for England, and the way it allows governments to control the citizens. The King, however, is horrified at such a barbarous suggestion, and asks Gulliver to never mention it again.
