how many day after conception should i take a pregnancy test?

What is the ideal time frame after conception to take a pregnancy test? I want to ensure that I wait long enough so that I don't take one too early.

Home pregnancy tests can give you a positive as early as 9-10 days after ovulation/conception IF you get the early response kind. The regular kind won't give you a positive until 12-14 or more days after ovulation/conception - which is about the time women are expecting their periods. Every test except the early response test will say take on the first day you were expecting your period to come, or later. The early response ones will say take 5 days before you expect your period, or later. The longer you wait, even for the early response tests, the more likely you are to get an accurate result. I got a positive within 13 days after ovulation/conception.

home pregnancy test should be taken on the 1st day of your missed period. There are some hpt which detects your pregnancy as early as 5 days before your missed period. do it with your 1st early morning urine even if it states in the label that u can do it at any time of the day.

good luck!!

i had the same question when i first thought i was pregnant. i took a test at two, three, and four weeks after conception....the home pregnancy test usually wont work until about 4 weeks after. at least that's what i've found from my experience.

good luck!! 🙂

I've read that around 12-14 days past ovulation is the earliest. I got my bfp on 14dpo.
