How many pounds of pressure does it take to break the nose?

What is the amount of pressure, in pounds, required to fracture a human nose? Additionally, are there variations in this pressure threshold based on factors such as age, gender, or individual anatomical differences?

It really depends. Bare Handed? Gloved? in general, a straight punch to the nose with a bare fist takes 13 lbs. of pressure to break a nose. it your caught with a hook, from the side you know, then it’s only 10lbs. with gloves, give or take a pound or two. But that’s the correct amount for sure. Had many broke noses in my boxing career, so I do know. I boxed for 10 years with the U.S.Army, won 4 different Championships too, So guess I did pretty good. Had a record that could have gotten me into the pro.’s, But decided to make the military my career instead. Hope this helped you! A broken nose is any crack or fracture in the bony portion of the nose, including the nose bone, nasal concha, and nasal spine… each bony area is different, and varies in size, thickness, and strength from person to person… so no exact pounds of pressure can be accurate. Also, items like angle of the punch must be factored into the equation, as the tensile strength of bones are different depending on angles.

i would say about 5…depends on the power its comen at …some break easily tho…depends on your nose structure…
