How much does a bumper cost? and the labor to get it put on?

I wrecked my friends car and bent her bumper so now i have to replace the whole thing. I’m hoping to pick something up at a salvage yard. It’s a VW cabrio so i’m assuming it’s going to be really expensive.. Any mechanics who can give me a ballpark price so i know what to expect????

Do you have insurance?It depends on the car, but I would say on average bumpers cost about $800 total to fix it. But once again it depends, the bumper could be anywhere from $200-1000 + paint ($100-400 depending on where you take it), and the labor shouldn’t be to much since it is just a bolt on swap. Also, how fast where you going? Could there be chassis/frame damage/bending?

Ball park with out being able to look it up i would guess $400 to $600 on new. it will have to be painted I think. you might get buy for 300 used Installed. Just a guess
