How much does it cost to live in a hotel for a few months? What would I have to pay for?

I'm considering moving out soon and am currently saving up. I've heard that living in a hotel might cost around $150 a week, which I estimated to be about $600 a month for rent, plus an additional $300 for food. Is it true that the costs are really that low? What other expenses should I anticipate? I thought that living in a hotel would be more affordable than renting an apartment, especially since I wouldn't have to pay for utilities like electricity, internet, or TV. Can anyone provide insights on how much I might need in total? I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!

Hey I spent over 1000 dolars living in hotels and eating out in June of this yr before I gotmarried the 25 of june. I would suggest finding a friend to st or finding a apt with the utilitie paid and some timesyou can find apys that have cable already andyou may have to pay one or 2 utilities but that could Rand from 5 to 150 depending on what utlites. Motel 6 would be the cheapest it would range from 39 to49 depending on how many people so I say between 900 to over 1000. So per week u will need 500 but I’m not sure

I want to move out as soon as possible, and I’m saving up.

I heard that it was about $150 a week to live in a hotel. So I estimated about $600 a month rent, and $300 food.

Is it true that it’s really only that much? What else would I need to pay for?

I figured living in a hotel would be…

I would imagine a flea bag hotel that attracts transients would be only $600 a month. A decent hotel with a kitchenette is going to cost you quite a bit more. Most decent hotels are $75 and up a night.

Sorry, but staying in a hotel (one you would WANT to stay in) is NOT going to be $600 a month.

You would do better to try to find a studio apartment or renting out someones basement or room in their house if you want to go cheap.

Sometimes you can find good deals! I would recommend you look around for an apt. after you move into a motel. I lived in one for a couple of months and paid $500.00. This was a clean motel, w/ cable included. It was not a big hotel chain.

It is probably cheaper than a big hotel chain, in fact.

I think you should be able to manage with the money you have, but I would recommend skipping the niceish hotels and put more into travel itself….the tours, activities, etc cuz those things really make the trip! Be prepared to burn a hole in your pocket in England, the pound is strong and the UK is expensive, especially London. I personally think flying is cheaper (and faster) than train, so look into budget flights, although by train you see more of the beautiful countryside but the downside is, when you reach your destination you are exhausted.

$150 a week is extremely low. $600 a month is cheaper than most studio apartments.

You’d be looking at $60/night MINIMUM or about $250/week. That is on the low side.

Depends on what hotel youre trying to stay in. they usually have weekly rates which are cheaper than the nightly rates. but you wont have to pay any other bills. you can call around and get their weekly rates. and as far as food goes, you’ll only have a mini-fridge and microwave…also consider cost of toiletries and laundry.
