Why would a high school send you a certified letter?
Hi everyone, I have a new question: Why would a high school send a certified letter? Could it be related to academic performance, disciplinary issues, or something else? I’m curious to hear various perspectives. Thank you!

A certified letter will be sent home from the school informing the parent, guardian, or other person who has control or charge of a child that the student has excessive unexcused absences.
The number of days may vary. Schools may deliver certified mail after a student has missed five, seven, or ten days of school.
