How to keep sharpie on a phone case?

I am going to a concert and going to have the band sign my phone case. I really would like it to stay for a long time how do I get it not to rub off? And also would it be better to have them sign my phone of phone case?

Try and find a clear gloss paint that you can spray from a can over the sharpie. Try using clear protective layers that are used on cars. They are very easy to come across. Or you could just laminate the case but that would be difficult.
