I can’t scream?

I used to have a very high-pitched scream when I was a little girl, but ever since I turned 17, I’ve been unable to scream at all. Now, at 23, I still try, but nothing comes out. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I feel broken! Any advice on how to address this would be greatly appreciated.

Your vocal cords lengthen and thicken as your body grows, which is why you can't scream anymore. Some women can, some can't. I was never able to. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with your voice box (larynx).

I was able to scream around the age of 4 but after i turned 8 i was not able to scream still can not scream and i am now 21

An otolaryngologist (ENT) can take a look at your larynx to see if it is okay. If all you want to do is scream, then it might not be worth the trouble. Can you sing a high to low tone okay?

Call your doctor; maybe he can tell you whats happened to your voice. I am just guessing maybe something is up with your voice box.
