I drink 3 litres of Gin a week is that too much?

Question

I come home from work eat, spend time with the girlfriend and then have a few gin and tonics or gin and juices. I don’t wake up wanting a drink and I don’t crave it whilst at work. I am consuming too much as my girlfriend has started to question my habits.

It seems like a bit much, but nothing too bad. You may want to cut back a bit, it would easier to cut back now, as opposed to later, when you’re drinking 4-5 liters a week and craving it! Good luck PS – I am also a huge fan of the gin and tonic!

It is a lot to be drinking and you will be doing some damage to your liver.But it could be a habit and not a physical addiction. You should definately cut down anyway but go a week without alcohol and see how you feel. My guess would be that you may get some cravings in the evening but that will give you a reality check of the problem. See how it goes. Good luck.

it is too much, sounds like you’re drinking out of habit. get a change of scenery or routine, give yourself something to do so you don’t just automatically go home and pour yourself a drink. go to the gym after work or clean the house…

well ivea heared that a liter of gin a day keeps the doctor away so u still need 4 more liters to reach the requirements!
