if you are not interested in actually solving the problem by yourself, why bother with all this

but if you are actually interested in the problems

for the first one

sum of opposite interior angles is the same as that of the exterior angle

so 42 + (9x-4) = 12x + 8

or x = 10

so exterior angle = 12x + 8 = 128 degrees

for the second one

the small triangle on the left is equilateral and hence all the angles are 60 degrees

and using linear pair on the base line you get one of the angles of the isosceles triangle on the right as 120 degree

and since the other two angles should be equal in that isosceles triangle x = 30

the third one is a direct application of the midpoint theorem

apply and solve to get x =25
