if f(x)=3x+5/x, what is f(a+2)?
If ( f(x) = \frac{3x + 5}{x} ), what is the value of ( f(a + 2) )?
2 Answers
f(x) = 3x + 5/x
f(a+2) = 3(a+2) + 5/(a+2)
If you need to use a common denominator, then you'd get:
f(a+2) = (3(a+2)² + 5)/(a+2) = (3a²+12a+17)/(a+2)
