If you could pick to be any ethnicity/race what would you pick?

What is your ethnicity or race? If you had to choose a different one, which would you select? Please respond only if you are willing to engage with this question thoughtfully.

I think I’d be Native American.

I have always respected the Native Americans and I can feel their pain.

I know that a lot of modern day Americans and Europeans refer to them as savages, but that is not true!

They are a noble race that defended their homes against the European invaders!

Ok, they might not have been advanced as their Mayan and Aztec brothers but at least they didn’t do human sacrifices!

So yes, I would be proud to be Native American!

Maybe I might have some Native American blood!

Who knows?

We are all connected in a way (^ _ ^)

Well I’m an Indian girl (from India) and I guess I like being Indian, but I still feel like I haven’t found out enough about my culture/heritage, or made a big connection with it yet or anything to exactly say that I have a lot of pride in my culture, and that I would never want to be any other race. I was born in and live in America, so I’m not really immersed in Indian culture, and there a whole bunch of other cultures that interest me ( to be honest i’m obsessed with south korean culture right now, teehee) . I don’t want to change my race, I was born Indian and I like chicken tika masala and gulab jamun, and sharu khan. There’s still a lot more I need to understand about my heritage to have more pride and understand myself and all that stuff, but until then I like being Indian ? it would be cool to be a South Korean girl for a few days though! (my fav south korean movie is He Was Cool, I recommend everyone to see it)

I can’t imagine picking another race/ethnicity to be. I grew stronger as an American black woman and now there’s no other race I want to be, or could be, other than a beautiful, intelligent, talented, young black woman.

Let’s see… (if I had to, just for fun) I would pick an ethnicity where the culture wasn’t strict, permitting woman’s rights-can’t go for that. I would pick Spanish American or Spanish, because I love the pretty dresses that the woman wear (dancing). The language is nice, and the culture is interesting to me. This is what I would pick if I had to switch (for fun).

But again, I am proud to be a beautiful, intelligent, talented, young black woman.

I would not pick another race to be because Im happy God made me who Iam and that’s a shame to the Korean woman below me. Asians are very gorgeous and don’t look all the same. Seems like u havn’t seen other Asians. But I’m glad I’m Filipina American because Filipinos are hospitable, respectful and accepting of other cultures, we love and value our family, we are friendly, kind, western influenced therefore a lot of Filipinos speak good english since English is taught n required in school, are good dancers hence the Jabbawockeez from Americas Best Dance Crew, good singers and good basketball players. Plus Spain colonized the Philippines for 600 yrs that’s why were Catholic and have gorgeous women. You can tell the difference right away between a Filipina woman and another Asian woman by our big almond shaped eyes, tan,or light beige skin, curvy bodies, nice butts. We can look Pacific Islander, Spanish, Asian, Arab, Western because many different countries ruled over and gave Filipinos a mixed or distinct look. Look up Nina Mascunana, Justene Jaro and Vanessa Minnillo on google images and u’ll see the difference.

Im Caribbean( multicultured), and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love being who I am. I mean sometimes I wish I was a white girl lol bc I like white guys but they seem to not take interest in my “exotic” look sometimes but I know there’s one who’s going to love me for my culture and looks. I come from a country of talented and skilled peoples. Beauty runs wild through our veins. Anyone who gets to know our culture loves it. Why would I want to change that?

If I HAD to change it I would rather look like Fairuza Balk or Juliette Lewis, but with a much more thicker voluptuous bod.

Would be fine with being most races except black, aboriginal, african or middle eastern.

The better question is under what circumstances would I HAVE to change who I an and why would I not want to remain who I already am?
