In spanish soccer play-by-play, they say “seee laaa ᴘᴇᴇedio” after every near miss. What’s that mean?

the other way to describe the phrase is say la pedyo or ce la pedjo. First of all, what is the correct spelling and what is the literal translation?

it really means that He should have scored other wise he would have said he missed once instead of SEE LAA PERRDIO so yea it means "He missed it" or "he lost it" the goal. i like when he says that! You mean the univisions guy i like when he says "Y ahora Rueda la pelota por univision! so and so vs so and so". like he did in the wc. which means " And now the ball rolls on univision so and so VS so and so" kool guy...
